Every long-distance move is assigned a dedicated delivery coordinator once your items are picked up. They will confirm your first available delivery date and provide a guaranteed delivery window. You’ll also receive updates throughout the process so you always know where your shipment is.

Positive Moving does not directly transport vehicles. However, we can connect you with trusted, reputable auto carriers to ensure your car is moved safely and efficiently.

For safety reasons, pets cannot be transported in moving trucks. We recommend arranging separate pet transportation. If needed, our support team can provide guidance and resources for safe and comfortable pet relocation.

Items containing fuel, such as lawnmowers, snow blowers, or propane tanks, must be emptied before moving. Please ensure all gas tanks are drained prior to your move for safety.

We believe in being transparent about shipment protection so you know exactly what to expect. Here’s how coverage works in the moving industry:

  • Valuation Coverage (Basic Protection): By law, every moving company must provide a minimum level of coverage at no additional cost.
    1. Local moves within New Jersey: $1.00 per lb. per item
    2. Long-distance moves: $0.60 per lb. per item
    3. Moves within New York State: $0.30 per lb. per item
  • Full Value Protection (FVP): For added security, you may choose Full Value Protection, which ensures that if an item is lost or damaged, it will be repaired, replaced, or reimbursed with a similar item of equal value. Pricing for FVP varies and can be discussed with your Positive Moving sales associate.
